It is understood that King Charles was informed at the weekend that his younger son wants to bring his family to settle in Britain. The prospective move would close a circle that opened in early 2020, when Harry and Meghan left their roles as senior members of the Royal Family, saying they wanted to pursue private business interests while still taking part in some royal events. That half-in, half-out arrangement was rejected by Queen Elizabeth II and the wider family, and the couple relocated to the United States.
